Hi, I am Kasia, an urban yogi just like you—living and working in the city. Yoga is my way of life. A daily morning practice is like looking into the mirror to see myself more clearly. It brings me closer to who I am, gives me space “to be more at ease with what is,” and reveals where I still have some work to do. Moreover, the practice is an opportunity to gain insights and reflect upon who I choose to be and how I want to live it. It makes me more present, balanced, and connected to myself and the people around me. I share yoga, as it is a great tool for happiness.

how it started

My story

My passions, sports and traveling, came together when I deeply dived into yogic practices in 2015. All that I loved about sport, which is being connected to the body, feeling the breath in each and every cell, and having more space in the head, I received tenfold in yoga. The most exciting, challenging, and rewarding inner journey commenced. 

I discovered yoga in 2003, during my first single journey to Toronto. Later, in Singapore, where I studied, I learned about mindfulness and meditation. I visited temples and monasteries in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar to see and experience how these practices were implemented in the lives of people in the East.

In 2013, I suffered from a femur fracture in the marathon, which left me incapable of walking for more than two years.

The recovery period was a period of highest inner development- a full dive into spirituality, yogic and meditation practices. “It has been the hardest and most transformative period >in my life. Yoga made it possible, and with my breath, I started to walk, step by step, towards the light again”.

In 2018 I completed the Yoga Teachers Training (RYT 200h) under the tutelage of the senior yoga and meditation teachers Katiza Satya and Kevin Sahaj. Later on, I also did Advanced Teachers Studies (RYT 350+h) with the same teachers, which included training in Ayurveda, Mindfulness, Healing Yoga, Breathwork, and Meditation. I also attended various yoga courses  In 2018, I completed the Yoga Teachers Training (RYT 200h) under the tutelage of the senior yoga and meditation teachers Katiza Satya and Kevin Sahaj. Later on, I also did Advanced Teachers Studies (RYT 300h) with the same teachers, which included training in Ayurveda, Mindfulness, Healing Yoga, Breathwork, and Meditation. I also attended various yoga courses and workshops taught by Eddie SternRichard Freeman and Mary Taylor, Petri Raisanen, Paul and Suzee Grilley, and Donna Farhi. Besides, I have been a student of Ayurveda with Victoria Hyndman and Dr. Vasant Lad. I completed the Foundations of Ayurveda by Drs. Welsch and Svoboda. In 2020, I was certified in the Healing Touch of Marma Therapy by Dr. V. Lad. In 2022, I graduated from the Pranayama Teachers Training with Sudhir Tiwari in KaivalayaDhama tradition. As for Meditation and Buddhist teachings, I am a student of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche.

What I share and teach

For me, yoga is a practice of awareness through a conscious movement. With our breath, we move through the asanas, cultivating the moment to moment awareness. With our breath, we move through the asanas, cultivating the moment to moment awareness. We feel our body and listen to what it communicates to us. Yoga is the mind training. This practice makes a human being kinder to herself and the environment. 

It is my passion and joy to share yoga with others. My classes emphasize the connection between body, breath, and mind. I teach the importance of natural breath, establishing moment-by-moment awareness, and developing the witness’s attitude. I give individual and group sessions and assist in Teacher Training.
